Larissa graduated from a University in Brazil with a degree in tourism, at first, she works in a travel agency and a hotel doing desk jobs and on the side she was also doing some modeling. One day, Larissa received an invitation to do a contest for Playboy magazine. She was lucky and ended up as a Playmate and became a member of the Playboy team.
After working with Playboy, a supplement store in Brazil invited her to do a marketing campaign for their store. It was while she was speaking with the owner of the store that she saw, for the first time, a poster of Monica Brant on the wall. Larissa was shocked because had never seen a woman like that before in her life. She was inspired and started to learn more and more about the sport, and the more that she learned, the more she wanted to do it.

She was lucky and fortunate to have great trainers who taught her the best way to train and helped to educate about nutrition.
She began competing in 2008, and Larissa became the first figure competitor from Brazil to take 1st place in a Pro Show (Atlantic City 2009). It also allowed her to take part in the Olympia ‘09 where she placed well for being a first-time competitor.
